Amazon Watch’s 9th Annual Luncheon

October 9th, 2014 | Photo Gallery

Thank you to all who joined Amazon Watch at our 9th Annual Luncheon in San Francisco yesterday – we were absolutely blown away by a packed house and all your support, ideas, inspiration and love. The event was a huge success thanks to the hundreds of friends who came to join us in person and or live online. What an incredible community we’ve become!

The biggest thanks goes to guest of honor Patricia Gualinga, a truly amazing Kichwa leader from Sarayaku, Ecuador. Once again, Patricia brought us her story with such spirit and grace. Thank you Paty!

We also want to take this opportunity together to once again thank our brave leader and founder Atossa Soltani in her final months as executive director at Amazon Watch. Thanks to her vision and leadership, for nearly 18 years Amazon Watch has stood with indigenous and forest communities who are on the front lines to defend their rainforest homelands and our shared future.

Couldn’t make it? You can still watch a video of the program, download a digital copy of the brand new Amazon in Focus and support our courageous partners in the Amazon by joining us here to help us take this work even further. We truly couldn’t do this without you and we are immensely grateful for your continued support.

Thank you, Thank YOU, THANK YOU from the team at Amazon Watch!
