Give monthly and become an Amazon Ally!

Amazon Allies is our incredible community of monthly sustainers. Whether you’re committed to Indigenous rights and solutions, healthy rainforests, biodiversity, women’s leadership, or climate resilience, a monthly gift to Amazon Watch is a powerful way to be part of the global movement for the Amazon.
The Amazon rainforest is vital to life on Earth. It stabilizes our climate and sustains unparalleled biological and cultural diversity.
Monthly donors provide consistent, reliable support to Indigenous peoples resisting deforestation, reclaiming their land rights, and advancing solutions rooted in ancestral knowledge and self-determination, which in turn protect the rainforest and our shared future!

Our campaigns are developed and carried out in partnership with Indigenous peoples at every step. Your donations strengthen our work to halt oil drilling and mining in the Amazon biome and secure Indigenous land rights, the best way to protect the rainforest and all of the life it supports.

We mobilize funds directly to Amazonian peoples at their request to support their solutions for their territories. Amazon Allies uplifts Indigenous peoples’ safety and well-being, women’s leadership, regenerative economies, access to solar energy and communications systems, community organizing, and more.
Since 1996, Amazon Allies has accompanied Indigenous peoples to secure significant victories:
6 million hectares of rainforest defended by partners
Directly partnered with organizations and communities representing 250,000 Indigenous people
26 oil and mining mega-projects stopped or delayed
13 legal victories won in defense of the rainforest
$8.7 million mobilized through the Amazon Defenders Fund from 2020-2024
We’re in a defining moment for our world. Indigenous solutions are key to the future we want to see for the Amazon and our planet.
With your support, we will continue campaigning to halt oil drilling and mining in the biome, secure Indigenous land rights, defend Earth Defenders at risk, and mobilize solidarity funds to Indigenous peoples on the front lines of the fight for our future.
At Amazon Watch, we envision a world where the collective rights of Indigenous peoples and the rights of nature are respected and where healthy forests, biodiversity, and the global climate can thrive. We’ve worked in solidarity with Indigenous peoples for 30 years in pursuit of this vision. We hope you’ll join us.

“Amazon Watch has been an ally of the Sarayaku people since the beginning. And now, they are also supporting our women’s organizations. I think that their campaigns have been very important because they’ve brought visibility to the struggles of small communities.”
– Patricia Gualinga
Kichwa leader, UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues member, and Amazon Watch board member

“When we have had to resist, Amazon Watch has been with us. And asks world leaders to stand with us. They know what we’ve lived through. And for this reason, we place our trust in Amazon Watch.”
– Catalina Chumpi
Shuar leader

“Just for defending and demanding justice for harms to the forest, the land, the fish, and the water, they began to criminalize me. I thank Amazon Watch, who was the first to come forward to tell me not to worry, I’m not alone. I said to my people: we are not alone. Our struggle is not invisible.”
– Olivia Bisa
President of the Chapra Nation
