When you make a U.S. tax-deductible donation to Amazon Watch, you can count on your gift being put to work effectively and immediately to uplift Indigenous visions and solutions for the Amazon.
With your support, we provide direct solidarity funding to our Indigenous partners – $2.25 million in total this year – to respond to threats facing the rainforest and amplify their movement building. We uplift Indigenous women’s leadership and the safety and security of Earth Defenders throughout the Amazon basin. We stop Amazon destruction by holding oil companies, governments, and financial institutions accountable, and provide advocacy opportunities and solutions so that we can all take part in this movement.

Make a monthly gift for the Amazon
Monthly giving is convenient and secure, and you can email donations@amazonwatch.org to make changes to your donation at any time. Each month you’ll empower immediate and effective responses to threats as they arise and support Indigenous leadership and solutions.
Claim a match from your employer
Many employers have matching gift policies! Ask your employer if they’ll match your donations to Amazon Watch – our email receipts for online donations are often all you need to claim your match. Let us know if you need us to resend confirmation of your donation.
Donate stock
Giving stock has some advantages over cash donations, like avoiding capital gains tax and allowing you to claim a charitable deduction. Donating appreciated stock may even let you make a larger gift than you normally would. We’re ready to receive your stock donation at any time – see our sample stock donation letter for all of the information you need.
Give via Donor-Advised Fund
If you have an existing donor-advised fund, you’ve already committed to supporting charitable causes (thank you!), so now is a perfect time to recommend a gift to Amazon Watch. If your fund is hosted by Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or BNY Mellon you can begin the recommendation process right here. We accept donations from all donor-advised funds, so you can also go through your institution’s regular grant-making process. Our tax ID is 95-4604782.
Set up an IRA distribution
If your traditional IRA requires you to make minimum distributions, consider making a Qualified Charitable Distribution directly to Amazon Watch. As an eligible 501(c)3 nonprofit, the distributions won’t be subject to the same taxes as a personal disbursement, and they will support the permanent protection of the rainforest and Indigenous rights.
Make Amazon Watch a part of your legacy
Ensure your continued impact on the future of the Amazon by making a legacy gift to Amazon Watch.
