Amazon Watch was featured on Good Morning America in its recent series of reports about the Amazon. The report, which aired on March 11 and was entitled “At Home in the Amazon”, focuses on the plight of indigenous peoples living in voluntary isolation, deep in the rainforest. The same forces threatening these groups’ survival – logging, oil exploration, mining, roads, among others – are also contributing to deforestation and pushing the Amazon toward ecological collapse.
