Declare Indigenous Lands in the Amazon Free from Extraction!

The United Nations Climate Conference (COP30) will take place in Belem, Brazil in November.

Amazon Watch joins the Indigenous movement in calling for an end to deforestation and a global commitment to make the Amazon a territory free of oil, gas, mining, and all industrial extraction by centering Indigenous sovereignty, climate justice, and real transitions away from fossil fuels.

Add your voice to this global call in solidarity with Indigenous Peoples from across the Amazon and the Indigenous Declaration.

“Protect the rainforest, and the rainforest will protect you.”

I pledge to stand with Indigenous Peoples and allies calling for the Amazon to be free of oil, gas, mining, and all extraction. At COP30 in Belém and beyond, I join the movement to call on the UN and Amazonian governments to protect Indigenous sovereignty, climate justice, and the rights of all living beings by ending the extractive model destroying the Amazon and our shared future.
