We can hardly wait to dream, scheme and celebrate with you at Bioneers 25th Anniversary Summit Conference this weekend! Join us along with our allies in San Rafael, CA on October 17-19th as we discuss “The World We Want & How to Get There” and work to grow the movement for Mother Earth and future generations.

Join the Amazon Watch crew and receive special reduced fare, register today and receive 20% off when you use code: AWATCHB14. Hurry, TODAY is the last day to register online!

This year’s 25th Anniversary Bioneers Summit will include a powerful cross-section of speakers including Naomi Klein, Eve Ensler, Terry Tempest Williams, Chief Oren Lyons, Tom Goldtooth, Clayton Thomas-Muller, Casey Camp, Patricia Gualinga and 2014 Brower Youth Award winners.

Amazon Watch is proud to accompany a delegation of allies from Ecuador, including Patricia Gualinga (Kichwa from Sarayaku), Leo Cerda (Kichwa from Tena), and Gabriela Ruales (representative of the Yasunidos collective) to a number of events at the Summit.

Not to miss is Patricia Gualinga’s “Message from the Amazon” on the main stage on Sunday, October 19. Paty will also join indigenous allies from the North in an Indigenous Forum on Sunday afternoon, “Indigenous Women on the North-South Frontlines of Earth Protection.”

Also speaking at the Indigenous Forum: Amazon Watch, Pachamama Alliance, Leo Cerda, Gabriela Ruales, Tom Goldtooth (Dine’/Dakota) of the Indigenous Environmental Network, Crystal Lameman (Beaver Lake Cree Nation) of Idle No More, on current threats from Pipelines from the Canadian Tar Sands; Faith Gemmill (Gwich’in), of REDOIL (Resisting Environmental Destruction On Indigenous Lands), on the history of oil and gas development in Alaska and expansion plans for offshore drilling; and witnesses Clayton Thomas-Müller (Mathais Colomb Cree Nation) and Eriel Deranger (Athabaskan Chipewyan First Nation) with Idle No More. This will be a truly historic convergence!

Be sure to stop by the Changemakers Faire at Bioneers 2014. You’ll find Amazon Watch at Booth #37. Stop by to talk with our staff and volunteers, pick up materials and make a donation for an AW T-shirt or hat. Our partners from Sarayaku and Yasunidos also brought along handmade traditional jewelry, ceramic bowls, palm leaf hammocks, bags, t’shirts and DVDs – show your support and take home a unique gift.

We’re still looking for a couple of volunteers to help at our booth from 9-1 pm or 1-5 pm on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. If interested, contact lucy@amazonwatch.org.

Thanks and see you this weekend!
