Declare Indigenous Lands in the Amazon Free from Extraction!

The UN Climate Conference (COP30) will soon take place in Brazil. Amazon Watch joins the Indigenous movement in declaring the Amazon an exclusion zone for any extraction – including oil, gas, mining, and agribusiness – by centering Indigenous sovereignty, climate justice, and real transitions away from fossil fuels.

Add your voice to this global call in solidarity with Indigenous Peoples from across the Amazon!

“Protect the rainforest, and the rainforest will protect you.”

I pledge to stand with Indigenous Peoples and allies calling for the Amazon to be free of oil, gas, mining, and all extraction. At COP30 in Belém and beyond, I join the movement to call on the U.N. and Amazonian governments to protect the Amazon, Indigenous sovereignty, climate justice, and the rights of all living beings by ending the extractive model destroying the Amazon and our collective future.
