MARCH 28: Special Screening of We Are Guardians Documentary in Oakland, CA!
You are invited to a special screening of the award-winning documentary We Are Guardians, executive produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, produced by Academy Award-winner Fisher Stevens, and co-directed by Edivan Guajajara, the first Indigenous director to have a film featured on Netflix.
Join us on March 28 at 5:30 pm at The New Parkway Theatre in Oakland for this opportunity to learn more about the Indigenous movement in Brazil and meet protagonist Puyr Tembé, the first Secretary of State for Indigenous Peoples of Pará in the Brazilian Amazon, and director Chelsea Greene, who will be leading a discussion following the film.
This special screening is a fundraiser event for the film’s impact campaign which aims to support the empowerment of Indigenous forest guardians and communities, reforestation and agroforestry, and education outreach and storytelling for change.
